Venue is fab, although we were seated in a sheltered out door area felt cold at first but there are electronic heaters available, just take a coat in case!
Drinks were flowing and staff were really friendly... didn’t feel awkward getting a top up etc! We drank plenty.
The “spice girls theme” this is where we felt let down, the brunch was hosted by two girls, from the adverts we expected a tribute act sort of performance. The girls were talented but it was literally two girls vaguely dressed spice related singing on a karaoke machine.
The sound set up was an issue, the back three tables were unable to hear the microphone clearly, we tried to indicate this but the hosts were quite impatient and then ended up just focusing their efforts on the tables immediately in front of them. This meant our table and the rest around us were unable to participate in the quizzes and competitions.
I would like to try another brunch before I disregarded the brunch events, but on this occasion we weren’t impressed, which was a shame as I’m sure the front tables had the best time! Thank god for the bottomless hey!!
